Can I use Learner Profile 3.0 if I
do not own a PDA?
Yes. Learner Profile 3.0 is a software application that
works on desktop computer or through a building-wide server. Teachers can use
all the functions and features of Learner Profile 3.0 without downloading daily
information to a PDA. Certain features of Learner Profile 3.0 can be used independently,
such as the Lesson Planner and Gradebook.

I already own Learner Profile 2.0.
What is the benefit of upgrading to Learner Profile 3.0?
There are major benefits to an upgrade. Learner Profile 3.0 is redesigned with
new technology to provide more features and functions than the previous version.
Learner Profile 3.0 has improved utility and productivity that includes:
- Newly redesigned, more intuitive interface.
- Faster access to student database.
- Upgraded import/export function, previously a manual operation.
- Compatibility with new hand held computer technology.
Learner Profile 3.0 has a new Gradebook feature. Fully modifiable and completely
integrated, the Gradebook's familiar format features:
- Password protected Gradebook allow only the teachers to change grades.
- Support for alpha-numeric and informal qualifiers (Ã, Ã+, P/F), and mix of qualifiers.
- Automatically weighs observable sets, quantifies the observable, and creates a numerical or letter grade to teacher specification.
- Weigh and quantifies traditional measurements such as homework, attendance, lab work, test, quizzes, and extra credit.
- Keeps students ongoing averages.
- Provides summary reports using a 15 modifiable templates.
Learner Profile 3.0 contains a Lesson Planner where educators can:
- Write, and share lesson plans that support state, local and individual learning objectives.
- Archive and modify created lesson plans for targeted instruction.
Learner Profile 3.0 has a Network Version with Internet Access provides new ways to:
- Let teachers post lesson plans and learning indicators.
- Improve teamwork and promote equity by creating a common framework for assessment and communication.

Yes. You can import students, groups, observables, qualifier sets,
courses and lessons, and observations from Learner Profile 2.0 into

Which PDAs are compatible with Learner Profile to Go?
Learner Profile to Go is compatible with PDAs running Palm OS 2.0 or higher, including
models made by Palm, Handspring, and Sony.
