With Learner Profile 3.0, you can export the following types of data as a tab- or comma-delimited document:

  • Student Names and Information
  • Observable Sets
  • Qualifier Sets
  • Lesson Plans

To begin the exporting process, choose EXPORT…from the File menu. An export "wizard" will prompt you for the information needed to create the exported document.

1.Exporting Student Names and Information

To export student names and/or student information into a text document, follow these steps:

  1. Choose EXPORT… from the File menu.
  2. Select STUDENTS from the Component drop-down menu and click NEXT.
  3. Choose the students you want to export. You may select students by group, or individually. You can select multiple students or groups by holding down the
    SHIFT key while making your selections. On this screen you should also choose whether to save your document as a comma-delimited or tab-delimited
    file. Click NEXT when you have made your selections.
  4. Select the student information you want contained in the exported document. The choices—Student Info, Guardian 1 Info, Guardian 2 Info, Notes, Miscellaneous—correspond to fields contained within the tabbed sections in the Student Information Box. Click NEXT when you have made your selections.
  5. You will be prompted to save the document.

2.Exporting Observable Sets

To export obserservable sets into a text document, follow these steps:

  1. Choose EXPORT… from the File menu.
  2. Select OBSERVABLE SETS from the Component drop-down menu and click NEXT.
  3. Select the observable set(s) you want to export. Choose whether you want to export all of the observable sets contained within the selected observable set, or the selected observable set only. Click NEXT when you have made your selections.
  4. You will be prompted to save the document.

3.Exporting Qualifier Sets

To export qualifier sets into a text document, follow these steps:

  1. Choose EXPORT… from the File menu.
  2. Select QUALIFIER SETS from the Component drop-down menu and click NEXT.
  3. Select the qualifier set(s) you want to export. Choose whether you want to export all of the qualifiers, qualifier sets and folders contained within your
    selection, or if you only want to export the qualifiers and qualifier sets contained within the selection. Click NEXT when you have made your selections.
  4. You will be prompted to save the document.

4.Exporting Lesson Plans

To export lesson plans into a text document, follow these steps:

  1. Choose EXPORT… from the File menu.
  2. Select LESSON PLANS from the Component drop-down menu and click NEXT.
  3. Select the lesson plan(s) you want to export. You can select multiple lesson plans by holding down the SHIFT key while making your selections. Choose whether you want to export all of the lesson plans and folders within a selected folder or only the lesson plans within the selected folder. Decide file format for your exported document (choose LEARNER PROFILE 3 if you plan to import the lesson plans into a different installation of Learner Profile 3.0). Click NEXT when you have made your selections.
  4. You will be prompted to save the document.
